District honors those who served for Veterans Day

Marshalltown Schools Director of Instruction Dr. Lisa Stevenson thanks Woodbury Elementary School custodian David Murphy for his service to our country as part of a Veterans Day recognition. Veterans like Murphy who are school district employees were delivered cards in advance of Veterans Day.

The Marshalltown Community School District thanked its veterans by delivering Veterans Day cards to staff members who have served our country.

Central Office administrators visited buildings to hand deliver the cards and thank each of the veterans for their service.

At the November 6 school board meeting, a list of veterans in the district was presented and a proclamation was read to honor veterans.
