Inaugural Fisher Fall Scoop family event a success

Fisher students and staff have fun at Wednesday’s Fall Scoop.

Hundreds of Fisher Elementary students and families gathered in the school’s playground area for the first ever Fisher Fall Scoop on Wednesday evening.

The Fall Scoop is intended to be an annual event to support strong, healthy connections between school staff and the students and families they serve. True to its name, the event offered students and families a chance to enjoy a frozen treat while exploring several fun activities.

In addition to having fun at the Fisher playground, students enjoyed sidewalk chalk, picture coloring, and temporary tattoo activities stationed around the school. Students and families also got to explore two large, yellow firetrucks operated by Marshalltown Fire Department firefighters.

Between all of the fun activities, families and school staff had valuable opportunities to talk and strengthen connections. Thank you to all of the families who made it out for the inaugural Fisher Fall Scoop!
