Students at several schools took a few extra steps this week toward making Iowa the healthiest state as part of Governor Terry Branstad’s Healthiest State Initiative.

The official Healthiest State Walk occurred yesterday, with numerous businesses and community organizations taking part in a 1 kilometer (7.5 block) walk. This included groups from Franklin Elementary and Miller Middle School. (Read more about Wednesday’s walk in today’s Marshalltown Times-Republican)
