Marshalltown High School’s baseball program will pay tribute to long-time concessions stand director Bev Ingledue Monday, July 1, during the home doubleheader against Ames.
Ingledue retires June 30 after more than 40 years managing concessions for MHS. She began in 1967 working at the cafeteria snack bar and took over concessions stand duties in 1972. Even after retiring from the cafeteria in 1996 Ingledue continued to manage concessions.
The first pitch is at 5pm, with a planned recognition of Ingledue at 7pm. Weather permitting, she also plans to be on hand during the first game to meet and greet well wishers.
I wish you the very best in your retirement. You are truly an inspiration for all!!
